When the holiday season is around the corner, every single store is brimming with festive stuff. You feel like buying just about everything, but you stop to consider the budget and then quietly fight back the shopper’s urge. But the minute you step into the dollar store, you let yourself loose and pick up a lot of stuff. It’s only when you get home and look over your shopping that you realise that you don’t quite know what to do with most of it or that they are too low grade to be put to any sensible use (Christmas lights are an exception though)!
This project is a complete solution to your dollar store issues. You can get supplies from the dollar store and upcycle them into a new project. I used simple things from the dollar store like sparkles, fish bowls, a Christmas hat ornament, hot glue, and a boa to create our very own Grinch. The one thing that I created at home was the Grinch face. I used my Cricut machine and accessories to print it out on the vinyl mat. The rest of the work was really putting it together.
So, I had fun getting into the festive mood starting right at the dollar store, enjoying crafting it and finally loving the end result- a cool festive Grinch, made at home! If you think you’d like to give it a shot, here’s the link to it.
